""It seems as if in the process of growing up we lose the ability to wonder about the world.""

""It seems as if in the process of growing up we lose the ability to wonder about the world.""
After reading this quote, a lot of thoughts came to my mind, this quote reflects us in our different stages of life. When we are young, we are carefree and always have a lot of imaginations about things like, ‘Why can the birds fly?’, ‘I want to become a hero like spider man when I grow up!’ etc. But as we grow up, we learn more about things and encounter with all kinds of people, they might be nice, or cunning or even dark minded. We realize that the “REAL” world is totally different to our “OWN” world when we were young, people might feel bored about their work or even frustrated with it, for sometimes, I would like to get young again to experience the carefree and exciting childhood, where I can do whatever I want and await the surprise or challenge I fece everyday.
To my own opinion, I both agree and disagree with the statement “It seems as if in the process of growing up we lose the ability to wonder about the world" by Knox because of a few reasons, I disagree with Knox because if during the process of growing up, we lose the ability to wonder, then how can there be new creations of things or new designs on phones, game consoles, songs, etc. But it also agrees with the quote because since we are grown up, we know and understand more things, and the knowledge we gain can answer the questions or the wonders we have in childhood.

Hi Wilmington
You make some good points here - I think when you get even older (almost as old as me!) you will want to return to your childhood and go to school again! I really wish sometimes that I could be young with the hindsight of being old. It is annoying when an adult says to you that school years are the best years of your life but there is such a truth in it! Enjoy it whilst you can

hello!
so I read your blog, its very interesting!
i totally agree with you in many parts. you said we grow up and realise that the world is not like how we imagined it to be. and its harsh. Thats so true. i couldnt agree more.
without wondering, how can we create new technologies and more advanced electronics. Agreed.
however, when you said the knowledge we gain can answer our questions and wonders. If that was true, then right now we'd all know if there really is a god, and if there is a life after death. So im not sure if I agree with that.
But some good points you've made. A lot of thinking put into this. Great job

Wilmington,
I agree with you about saying the "REAL" world it's different to our "OWN" world. What we imagine or think might not really come true and I also agree that sometimes we will wanting to go back and become a child.
You made some good points about both side. Good work!
